I have licenses, but I'm skipping this years elk. Truck is still broken and really just don't feel like spending the money for gas, food, etc to get there.

Father and gang are heading up in the morning, will be there for several weeks until moose season starts, then they'll switch gears for that.

Father got a nice antelope last weekend.

Friend of Dad got this big sucker the other day, California. He's shot all 29 species with a bow.

Went bow hunting mule deer for the 1st time last weekend. Have been rifle hunting since I was 13 up in my home state of MT. Went up by Dillon and got the stalk on three seperate does but couldn't get within 60 yds of them. Probably going back up in a few days though. Hard to get time away but fun as hell!

gnihcraes - Do you know what the size was on the horns on that antelope? They look about 13.5" - 14" to me which is impressive.

    That elk is awesome too.

Unknown on the antelope, pops is out elk hunting. Sure he's measured it, but it's green yet. Will post when I can find out.

Lots of fun today above Lyons. Missed twice on a monster 5x5, once over his back, second under his belly. I took the shots at 60 yards and new it was a prayer. Passed on the doe's. Saw lots of deer moving and a HUGE buck @ 250 yards out. Love the area and love the private land thats available(about 1500 acres).
Be heading back early Monday morning.

(Archery) Pops just got his Moose on Saturday. Small cow. Will post pics when I get them. He stuffed the moose in the freezer and headed back out to Elk camp. Retirement must be nice.
