I remember watching the "In Search Of..." shows. And I remember this exact topic being taught in school right up until I graduated college with a geology degree, though by the time I graduated ('92) the "global warming" myth was thoroughly taking hold. I remember professors looking awkward when trying to answer questions from students about what they learned a year or two ago vs. what was being taught that semester.
Humans are a silly bunch. An ignorant and hubristic bunch all at the same time. But the science is settled!!!!!
