Yes, he's the German "sling shot" guy. My buddy's made a few wrist rockets based on this guy's designs. My guess is it's real. And it looks very painful! Reminds me of when we were kids & shooting our bb guns in the basement of our house, BEFORE we realized we should put something in front of the rocks that were behind our targets (cheap model cars & planes we'd put together).

Yeah, I'm saying it's real too. He's done an assload of very cool slingshot videos, and I'd say his luck ran out on this one. The guy is very creative and inventive with his slingshots, but 20mm ball bearings against a wooden backstop apparently isn't a great idea.

He's usually all about safety, so when it bit him this time I can understand why he'd want to leave the footage in. "See kids? Don't try this at home!" Lucky it didn't hit him in the face or eye. Top o' the gourd is bad enough.
