    Default Poor Man's spotlight

Tonight when you are board, get out your most powerful scope, spotting scope, or binoculars and all your flashlights.

With my $20 spotting scope, I can put a car sized spot a few houses away with my 25 lumen Nebo flashlight. I'd really like to try this out with a more powerful scope and a more powerful flashlight.

Doing it inside your house is a great way to see how the scope focuses the light, but you wouldn't use it inside since a broader beam is what you'd want.

Also, with binoculars, you can look through one monocle, put the light in the other, and then whatever you are looking at will be illuminated. Clumsy, awkward, not really usable in real world conditions, but fun to mess around with.

my 2y/o daughter will get a kick out of this shit, and its free to boot. I use a flashlight for work everyday, and I go through batteries like you would not believe, because she always steals it as soon as I walk through the door

One of the best flashlights I've found. Mountable, barely pocket-able and blindingly powerful for the price

Usable out to 200 yards with the naked eye, you should be awesome with your reverse ghetto bird thing you got going.

Good idea will try it sometime. I have a feeling that some of my country buddies from Al have been shining deer like that for a long time

I was doing it again tonight, and it's not the most impressive thing with my 25 lumen light on a street with street lights, but it DOES but a circle of light on a spot that wouldn't even notice the flashlight without it.

Stream light polytacs are great and pretty cheap, very bright! Great for that kind of stuff and Halloween gags

I can see it now. Small telescope, flashlight, M4, and some duct tape.

I'd LOVE to try this with a stream light and a telescope or high powered spotting scope.
