I would stay with factory Ruger on this one. They have all kinds of stocks available for the M77 in synthetic. Best hunting rifle ever produced IMO..
ruger.com, doesn't have shit on there web site as far as stocks go, I was looking at this one kinda, but do not know if it is overkill or not?

that looks nice, but wow what a price. Did you contact Ruger Customer service yet? I'd start there.
Try Brownell's they have a selection but there seems to be several different M77 models.![]()
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

I'll gladly take it off ya to end all of your frustration.![]()
That statement is only true in a limited fashion.
A couple of months ago I had a talk with their CEO, CMO, or President (never did know exactly which position he was in) and one of their sales rep's specifically over M77 stocks and left-handed M77's(their failure to make a stainless model in left-handed).
While they do have some synthetic options for right-handed shooters (they admit to having few OEM options available), they said that making a left-handed synthetic would require a complete retooling and would be too cost prohibitive to produce, so they won't. Of course, getting a third-party synthetic stock manufacturer to make the stocks for them was out of the question.
They did indicate that everywhere they go they hear from left-handed shooters that are displeased with the fact that they make stainless M77's for right-handed shooters but won't provide the same option for lefties. At the end of the discussion they indiciated that they might actually start producing stainless lefties - but without a synthetic stock. My response to them was something like "You get me a stainless rifle, and *I'll* find a synthetic stock for it.
Where possible, I like to stick with OEM, but when the manufacturers won't meet my needs as a consumer, I'm more than happy to find an alternate provider.
