    GOOD IDEA...

I had to do that at Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson once, and I've never been back. You want to get treated like something smelly on the ground? Go to a Harley Dealership. Any of 'em, anywhere. Pompous assholes, all of 'em.

I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM AT SUN H.D., I MADE IT A HABIT OF TALKING TO ALL THE GUYS AT THE COUNTER WHEN I GO IN. BUT, I MADE AN IMPACT WITH THEM EARLY BECAUSE I WAS MODDING MINE BEYOND WHAT MOST WOULD EVER DO, THEN STARTED BUILDING A CHOP AND THEY RESPECT ME NOW MORE THAN EVER. IF YOU CAN SHOW YOUR NOT ANOTHER JERKOFF WITH MONEY JUST LOOKING DOWN ON THEM, IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. BUT YEAH, RMHD SUCKS BAD.

Although some of the posts complain about their Customer Service, my patience paid off. I waited a good 10 minutes for help(it was packed, phone ringing off the hook) Joe asked what I needed, it wasn't in the case so he and headed to the back a few times to see if he had what I wanted. To my surprise, he returned with what I wanted, and gave me a price well below what I researched.

I've got to change my opinion of Green Mountain Guns. After reading some positive reviews I decided to give them another try. I went there today and the prices were very good and I got asked twice “Can I help you?” They have lot's of used guns for sale. I'm sure they still have some jerks. All gun stores seem to but Green Mountain looks like a place I will shop.

I was told about 1.5 years ago, by a gun store near or in Lakewood, that Green Mountain closed.
Per this thread that is incorrect info. I will be going there this week.

    Thanks!

They moved around a few times a little before that. Probably the source of the confusion.

I checked it out this week. They have a good sized inventory of guns. And they have reloading stuff!

    Their current address is:

Went in the other day since I had some time to waste just to look around. Before I even got to the counter to the right as you walk in, I was asked if I needed any help. I spent maybe 20 minutes in there looking at the prices and all and was asked 3 other times by different employees if I needed help. Great store and will most likely go back when I get a job to buy my first ar15.

Default And now for something completely different....

Well, I'd like to tell a story about a gun shop that I used to do business with... until recently.

They have always treated me well, and until now, would never say a bad word about them....but... that was then.

I was in there a few Saturdays and they had just gotten in a HK4 with the .32 and .22 barrel. I looked it over and decided I wanted it in my collection. I like HKs and that one I have never had before. I checked it out in the Blue Book of values and it seemed priced ok. Not a great deal, but not bad. It was a consignment gun and had come in just a few minutes before I got there.

Well, I also happened to talk to the owner of the gun while he was there. We talked about the HK 4 and he left. I decided to buy it. I filled out the paperwork and then told them I had to leave, but would come back on Monday to pick it up as I had to go let the dog out and finish some errands.

So... on Monday, I get a call from the shop saying that the owner of the gun called and he raised the price on the gun $100 and to see if I still wanted it. Now, this is after I had made the deal on the gun in the first place. This did not sit well with me. I called up the actual owner and asked him what was going on. Now, he did not know that I had made a deal on the gun and he offered to call them and move the price back. He did the honorable thing.

The problem was... He did not call them. The gun store called him and suggested raising the price. This was after they had sold it to me.... They lied to me about what happened and tried to pawn it off as the owner raising the price. The gun really wasn't worth the extra $100 and I declined the sale, even though the original owner volunteered to correct it.

So, beware Green Mountain Guns in Lakewood CO. They used to be a good store. Now, apparently, it's all about the Benjamins.

Do you know specifically who called him? Did you call the store out on what they did? Make sure you make a public stink about it, lest they keep doing that stuff.

I am not sure who at the store called him. I got the call Monday morning from one of the counter monkeys. When I called the owner of the gun, he never mentioned who called him from the store and he offered to make it right as they also didnt tell him that anyone had decided to buy it.

Things like that kinda bug me... They tried to pass it off as the owner calling up and changing the price. They lied to my face. The guys at Green Mountain didn't know that I knew the owner of the gun, so they thought they could get away with it.
