If I cannot go to the range with my own ammo, reloads or factory, it's not worth going. I might go and buy a box of ammo to check the place out, but I reload to shoot cheap and often.

Good point, but I think maybe for folks who aren't into reloading maybe it won't be such a big deal.

This is assuming that their ammo is reasonably priced, of course.

if its like some of the other ranges in the area, you can expect to pay about twice what you can get in the box stores (which are marked up as it is.)

the primary thing keeping me out.

    • Firearms being transported to and from the facility must be secured inside a case
or holster (if holstered, your firearm needs to be clear and safe prior to entering.
    • Loaded firearms are not allowed anywhere on the premises except inside the
shooting range and within the designated shooting areas (Exceptions for Law
    Enforcement only).
ALL FIREARMS ON THE PREMISES WILL BE CLEARED AND SAFE AT ALL TIMES
UNLESS IN USE ON THE RANGE

So essentially they would appreciate it if you surrender your rights at the door please.

It's not a surrendering of your rights, quit being a drama queen.

Default Green Mtn Guns: I hate them

Why you say? Because every God damn time I go in there, I find a screaming deal, and I can't always keep my wallet in my pocket. Case in point, this morning. I found a mint condition, can't even tell it was fired- Savage lefty bolt gun, free-float 22" Varmint heavy barrel, pillar bedded, target recessed crown, Accu-trigger, scope mount and rings properly mounted. Dull gray parked factory finish and their cheapo? black plastic stock. What is that a 110, 111, I don't remember. How much? Wait for it........................................$425. I had to leave it there because the CBI wait was kind of long, I'll probably go pick it up tomorrow. 4 effing 25.
Also saw a real nice 6" blue Python for.................. $850.

I've had the same problem. Last time I was in there I got a good deal on a consigned gun. Then they brought out the stuff that came with it after I paid for it. It became a really good deal then. It kinda offset some of the just OK deals I have got there.

No extras, but it appears that this rifle is a Model 10, with pillar bedding and a free float barrel. I think it's an LE model.

Let me know when you tire of it! This southpaw could use it...!

I looked at an Underwood M1 Carbine in there once, that looked like it might have been some GI's duffle bag bring-home. I only held it for a couple minutes, but it had the flip sight, type 1 barrel band, high wood stock, push-button safety and it sure looked authentic! Priced at just under $1000.

I was pressed for time so I couldn't do the purchase then, and I didn't really realize all those details until later. I went back the next day but it was gone.

I got my CZ 75B there for $350. I thought it was a good deal.
