I decided to take the drive up to Loveland this morning to take a look at Jensen Arms. I'm really infatuated with the DSA FAL's and Jensen said that they had a few in stock. Loveland is not in the Denver area but I thought I'd make the drive anyway and I think it was well worth the trip (even without any money).

It took me an hour to get to Loveland. You just hop on the I-25 and stay on it until you get to Loveland. You head west after getting off the freeway and turn right (north) on Lincoln. Up Lincoln a ways and turn left (west) on Fourth. Its right there on your left (south side of the road).

Jensen was smaller than I expected but the amount of cool stuff they have in there was great. The shop is well organized, clean, and very nice. The help in Jensen was great too. They talked to me right away and were very knowledgeable about their products. I chatted with one of the guys about the FAL for several minutes.

I was surprised to find some great stuff that you don't usually find at most shops. Jensen had all kinds of great politically incorrect gear/guns. I saw guns like the Cetme, Kahr Thomson Gun, AK's, FAL's, and lots of other evil black rifles. They have a great stock of optics, Royal Robbins clothes, surplus ammo and a whole rack of mags for your rifle (AR, AK, FAL). I guess they were missing reloading stuff but the shop is so full as it is that they couldn't fit it in there if they wanted.

Jensen is well worth the drive to go up and take a look at the shop. I'd recommend calling beforehand if you're looking for something specific though. It would not be fun to make the drive for nothing.

Mr. Dove, I live about 4 blocks west of Jensens. It's where I buy all of my guns and gear. You're right, it is a great place.

All of my dealings with Jensens have been 1st rate.

My wife hates the place. Maybe because I can't leave without spending a few hundred $$$.

+1 was up in Denver with some downtime and decided to run up and take a look. Only one or two ARs on hand, but they did have a two-page waiting list for Bushy and RRA (many on order, few delivered). Quite a few FALs, including a couple recievers but only a handful of the AK family.

Prices were good, selection of accessories and ammo pretty broad. (M855 for $18?/1000, yeah there's tax but no waiting for UPS) Only problem I saw was being in the middle of town, quite a few folks stopping by to fondle the merch and buy nothing (I admire the staff's patience, they were all helping folks politely and promptly). That and it felt weird walking around back to the parking area with a long cardboard box

I talk about this place all of the time. They are great and are even worth the drive from Castle Rock. You do not get a lot of BS and know that you are not getting ripped off - whatever you purchase. I have purchased and STI .45, a Springfield .45 Operator, a Loaded M1A, a SOCOM 16 M1A and a Model 60 S&W .357. I have yet to find one of these priced lower anywhere in the state and have not found anything on the internet cheaper unless I had a FFL.

They are knowledgeable and I always find accessories when I go up to look. Mr Jensen knows his scopes. When I bought my IOR scope, he gave me a 30+ min. lesson on mil-dot scopes.

They are all very helpful and will spend time with you so long as you do not show up on Saturday in the late morning. There are usually about 20+ people in the store and they are often slammed with background checks. They do move quite a lot of hardware.

As I said, I drive up from Castle Rock and never regret it. If you live near Loveland - or are passing buy - you owe it to yourself to stop by and see this store. Anytime I am within 30 miles, I will swing by and look around. My favorite gun store.

I'll give Jensens a bump to the top. Been shopping with them for years now and still love the place. Going there to dump a load of money tonight!
