How is it that Q 4 U up in Frisco hasn't had a mention?
How is it that Q 4 U up in Frisco hasn't had a mention?
It is not the same. The owners of the one in Frisco are usually working there and are very nice. I've been going there since they opened ~10 years ago and still haven't found better burnt ends anywhere.
I love places like this run by locals in Summit. I try and stop by every time I'm up there. Their prices are a bit on the high side but I like to see them staying in business. Another place to try while in Frisco is across the street in between Walmart and Safeway, place called FoodHedz. Former Keystone Ranch chef runs the places and uses local ingredients. I think it's the most underrated place in Summit and again, always like supporting the local places.
Aurora:
+1 to The Athenian. They're amazing people and the food is more than 2 people should be able to eat per plate. They also have Greek beer, which for us Hopsters is pretty awesome.
Also, there's a Pho place just north of University hospital on Peoria, on the west side of the street that's absolutely to die for. I don't remember the name but they're amazing. Looks like a little hole in the wall place.
Piper Inn on Iliff and Parker has always had the best wings I've ever had.
Sushi Katsuya- ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI...sound bad?! Well it's made to order like any other sushi bar and it's $26pp for dinner. Absolutely fantastic sushi and service is very decent. I recommend hitting it either early or late dinner and not in the middle of the rush. Takes a long time when you go during dinner rush. My wife and I go there at least once a month.
Hana Sushi is on Quincy & Buckley and if one of the 2 owners are there's it's absolutely amazing and rivals Sonoda's...if not, go for happy hour $1/piece.
Dragon Boat Sushi off Iliff and I-225 delivers Sushi all the way to us at almost Tower and Hampden and it's pretty decent. Of course I've had better but for a sushi delivery place it's pretty amazing. I recommend the Raising Sun Roll.
Armando's- Just west of Smoky Hill and Buckley on the North side of the road has the best Italian food for the town hands down. Service and recovery makes it better. I've eaten there so much I've had mess ups and they've always been fixed without an issue and usually have something comp'd w/o asking for it. They also have ridiculous pizza for carry out.
Pitchers off Mexico and Chambers (NE corner) actually has some pretty good breakfast. Also, their chicken philly is pretty good too.
Massino's by Albertson's on Buckley and Mississippi has amazing food if the owner is working...normally during the day. I used to order delivery pizza because their spicy chicken pizza was something out of this world but I think they got too busy and the owner cut back his own hours and hired some morons to run nights. I bet they unfortunately lost a lot of business. Nonetheless, their lunch still stays a top in my eyes.
Dumitri's off Jewell & Havana has to be a staple around here for breakfast. The owner always floats around there and will help no matter how busy he is. Unfortunately, I think the cooks have gone down hill the last couple times I eaten there and I expect them to be gone shortly. Sad to say, but if there's an issue with a place I drop $30 biweekly I make sure the owner knows my thoughts. Especially since I've been coming there for about 20 years.
Dry-Dock Brewery- SW corner of Hampden and Chambers. They have no food...but you are welcome to bring some in and even order pizza and stuff there...I've done it. They've won many awards for their beer and have a brew shop attached to it for us homebrewers. Amazing beer, decent service, but knowledgeable folks and hell...can't beat a great beer.

Trying to think where I've been lately that is post worthy...
Ah, Euclid Hall on 14th street between Market and Larimer. Same chef that runs Bistro Vendome and Rioja.
Very different food than at her other two places; Euclid Hall is more like high end pub fare.
Best thing I had on the menu there: the Bratwurst burger. All pork, so I was able to eat it. Damn, that thing was good. The lamb poutine is amazing too...
Not sure if anyone else is on Yelp, but I post a lot about where I go on there. Here's my link if anyone else uses it

You got that right! Best Wings for sure! And all the Chinese food there is really good! Sounds weird but try it...
Best Eggs Benedict in town for sure! I cant comment on any recent quality issues, I moved further away and haven't been back in a while. Dumitri is a great guy and probably the biggest hockey fan in Denver.

Had another great 14oz filet at The Famous Steakhouse in the Springs...
Took the wife there for our 2nd anniversary last week and it was great...
The steaks are always perfect.
(And for the price... they d*mn well better be!)

Not sure if any has mentioned it, and no, I didn't feel like going through 13 pages to find out
This is the second time I have eaten there, but the wife and I went there on Friday for her birthday dinner (1 day early) and holy crap... do I eat myself sick every time. It's just too great, and the essentially buffet style, without being crappy buffet foods, is pretty much amazing.
It's similar to Rodizio, if you haven't been to Texas de Brazil. It's in Northfield stapleton behind the Macy's, and if you sign up for your birthday and anniversary, they send you a two for one coupon. Pretty incredible meal for a great price.
Highly recommend it.
