I love food, and I don't really care for chains. I know that 2 here are chains, but they are only in limited cities. They also only have one restaurant here in Denver.

    Jason

Hickory House - Parker, Great BBQ

The Perfect Landing - T-TH $10 menu ($10 Filet, Lamb, Prime Rib, Bottle of Wine, Lobster Tail, etc) and the quality is top notch * need reservation though and it's not stuffy, it's on Centennial Airport

Yanni's-Greek, at the Landmark in Greenwood Village, Not stuffy, Yanni is from Greece, authentic

Land of Sushi-Arapahoe & University, Great Sushi

Del Frisco's-Go for lunch and get their burger ($10). Expensive restaurant, but for burgers, very affordable and awesome service

Claim Jumpers-Order one entree for a family of 4!!! Incredibley large sizes.

There is a BBQ Place up here on Arapahoe and Dayton called Jabos. Pretty good food. Not the Best BBQ that I've ever eaten, but still good. There specialty is the "Jabo Dog", its something like a 1/2lb hot link on a bun covered in 1/3lb of pulled pork.

They change their sauces constantly and the guy that owns it, Jabo, works there. He comes around table to table to let everyone taste the sauces they currently have and they'll add as much heat to it as you want.

Finding good mexican food has been tough lately. My favourite place back in the day was The Blue Bonnet, but that's gone down hill a bit over the years...

Before Jabo had his restaurant there, he had a huge BBQ that he pulled around with his truck and would set up shop in a Church parking lot near my High School. We would go get Jabo dogs once or twice a month and they were awesome!

Jack'n'Grill for Mexican. They have 3 locations-Westminster, Denver, and Littleton. They fire roast their own chiles!

    Mmm food.

Jack-n-Grill is great. Cherry Cricket, Argyll...

Fogo de Chao for the ultimate in gluttony.
