    Default How many need training?

How many people here would get a CCW permit, but they lack the necessary training?

I'm an NRA pistol instructor and can take care of that if need be. I'm just trying to gauge interest or need. If there is enough interest maybe I can do a class for members.

    Just a thought.

even if one didn't want/need to get a CCW, it's good training!

well I plan on getting my CCW when I'm old enough, so sure I could use it.

Uh LA69, YOU DON'T NEED IT! At least not for CCW purposes. You're active duty dude. That's one of the qualifying requirements. Now get back to studying and earn my tax dollars youngin. :P Karl.

I've had the NRA training necessary for CCW, and have my CCW, but IMO I cannot have enough training in regard to firearms. My wife and I would welcome anything, but money is an issue right now (I know that wasn't mentioned, but I had to say it :P )

Well when you're the instructor, cost is always negotiable. (Or waivable.)

I'm doing the tactical pistol class in Pueblo next week. Just bought 1000 rounds of .40. They tell me we'll burn it all in two days. I wonder if I'll have sore hands?

Anyway, if there's enough interest I'm sure we can put something together. Even if you're active duty and not old enough to get the permit, you can still take the class and save it for someday.

I'd like to take it as well, but money is a factor for me as well. I'm saving up to buy a new car and wont be able to spend money on ANYTHING for the next several months. Let us know about cost, and when it will be held. Karl.

my wife needs to do her training. The prevailing rate seems to be about $100? I don't think I've seen anything cheaper than that.

I could probably use a refresher. My training is about 8 years old.
