    Would you fly it at halfmast for the tsunami victims?

    Sorry, but NO. This is an "international" issue not an American one (per se). While its a tragedy, I don't feel that its the type of thing we lower the flag for...

    And don't get me started with this "aid" issue......

    Although I did notice the post office's flag was at half mast this morning.

    I noticed that the flags here on base were at half-mast today. I thought it was for the GI killed in Afghanistan last night.

    Hmm...are there any "written rules" for half mast flying?

    If the president has the authority to request a half mast flying, I don't think we have much room to argue, not matter how B$ it is.
