Default Bench Rest Rifle gunsmith in Grand Junction

    Hello Folks,

I have been told that there is a gentleman in Grand Junction who is a well respected Bench Rest Rifle builder and gunsmith but, the person who told me is not certain about this person's name. He told me that his last name is possibly Hart but the only reference to that name goes back to Robert Hart who makes Hart barrels in Pennsylvania.

Would any of you happen to know the person of this gunsmith in Grand Junction?

    Thanks!

Not sure about Grand Junction but you might contact Gre-Tan rifles in Rifle, CO. Great reputation for building extremely accurate rifles.

I am asking about this person in Grand Junction because my friend had this Bench Rest rifle built about three years ago and has asked me to help him sell it. I am just trying to find out more about the rifle and the builder before I put it on the market.

Ya, Hoser beat me to it. Skip Otto is the name I've heard before.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

I am pretty certain that you gentleman are right. The stock of the rifle that he built for my buddy is metallic green and I have read that Skip Otto has a market preference for this color.

I think what my friend meant to tell me is that the rifle was built on Hart action and barrel.

    It's a sweet looking firearm!

Thank you both for the info.

I have never had the honor of meeting Mr. Dowling but I have heard that his work is absolutely top notch. His reputation precedes him!
