Wow! That's hot. How much you into it for so far if you don't mind me asking and what range are you looking to shoot at?

I spent more than I'm worth, as a shooter, but I'm hoping to grow into it. I hope to shoot to around 800 yards...

nope, not an empty sock. I was just sloppy putting it on. A Gemtech Quicksand is hiding underneath.

Who is the stock maker? I haven't seen that one before.

I picked up an Ishapore 308 for a couple hundred at Tanner a few months back. It had already been bastardized, so I tore it down. I took it to Bert at BP Tactical do his magic to the barrel. He put a nice crown and threaded it for the YHM 308 Flash Hider. I went with a scout scope config with this one. I blasted and durocoated the metal and added the paint to a sporterized poly stock Here it sits next to a stock 303. I did a line bore sight in with it so far. Need to get it out to the range soon.

Porn to say these least boys. Some great looking sticks you've got there. I'm relatively new to shooting experience wise and own a few rifles and handguns. I've shot in the military and a little since returning stateside. Building my first AK and waiting on parts. I'm interested in a long gun but fear the price of entry. Still would like to get some exposure to longer range shooting and eventually be in a position to shoot well at 500+ yards. Would it be possible to meet up with anyone at a range and watch/learn a little? I can read stuff on the interwebs all day but nothing beats mentorship from someone in the know face to face.

Should start another thread on this one... but I'd be glad to show you what I know (which is very little), and let you put a few rounds through my rifle... Just try to make one of these Pawnee shoots we go to
