    Default Killed a big lizard

Friend of mine came over last night to show off some pictures of a 10 foot five inch alligator he got while he was in Florida. Guides said it was approximately 30 years old and 450 lbs. Guess it was biggest they've seen in a couple of years. Said were going to have some alligator tacos this weekend. Can't wait...

Will figure out how to post pics once he e-mails them to me.

Tail is great in a fish batter & deep fried. Used to live in Florida and catch swamp lizzards all the time! Stuff sells for $7 per lb there. Enjoy!

Everything on a gator is good, ribs are the only red meat. Jaws are excellent.
I have eaten it all my life. (raised in FL)
Shot alot of em, not a whole lot of "hunting" involved but still something to do.

    awesome!
see if he wants to trade some gator for some of my elk or deer meat. I would love to get some!

Gator meat kicks ass. I second the trade for deer or elk.

I'd heard that it was more like a cross between Spotted-Owl and Bald Eagle

You sir, are a specialist in the art of discovering a welcoming outcome of a particular situation....not a mechanic.

peppered in a light flaking of dried clubbed baby seal meat and gator is delicious.
