Default Where do ya'll go to shoot 500yds+?

I've been looking for a place a little closer to the Springs to do some distance shooting. I can go out to 400yds at the range on Ft. Carson but I'd really like to find an established range that's not looking to take everything in your wallet within a reasonable drive. I've been shooting on Pike NF land in Park County southwest of Tarryall Reservior off of CO RD 23 and can get out past 1200 yds there but it's a 1hr 45min - 2hr drive.

Everything I've looked into out here requires a wait time and is ungodly expensive. I'm used to $8/yr membership dues back in PA...I guess I'll just have to get that out of my head. Worst part is...I'm PCS'ing next July so I won't even get a full year out of a membership. Is there any place that's under $50/yr that goes to 1k within a reasonable drive?

You can get to 1020yds here. A bit of a drive for you. Go during the week and you'll most likely have the range to yourself.
