    Default CO pheasants

Had three down in well under three hours of walking. Colorado has some great walk in access areas. That's something I swore I'd never say.

very awesome! looks like either you hit the hell out of two birds or the dog ate some feathers!

awesome you limited in that short of time in CO.

were the birds holding tight? see any more than those three?

I think one of the birds got it from my father and me. It was not pretty. I was surprised at how the birds held. Three years ago, I swore I'd never waste my time in CO again. Especially with the in-laws having so much private land in KS. Two years in a row, we have done very well on walk in access. It was quite windy and my poor dog hadn't hunted in over a year. It really pays to get a dog from a good breeder if you plan on hunting like I used to before child.

I have to admit, if I didn't have a dog, I wouldn't waste my time. Working with my dog is the best part.
