My Feedback
Hey, you're almost caught up to me. I got 10 toolhead stands with toolheads, dies, counters, powder alarm, powder charger, etc. I got about $4K tied up in XL650 stuff. :roll: As for savings.... I can do lead 9mm and 45 for about 25% of store bought IIRC. It pays off pretty fast for most handgun ammo. And it's the ONLY way I can afford to shoot lots from my MG. Karl.

I keep pretty detailed records about reloading costs.
Here are my costs, amortized over 10 loadings of the same brass, and no, I did not include the price of the dies in my costs. The costs below reflect brass, primers, powder, and slugs.
.44 Mag = $0.18/bullet (Retail ~$15 to >$25 for 50 bullets =>$0.30 to $0.50 per bullet)
.40 S&W = $0.13/bullet (Retail ~$8 to >$20 for 50 bullets => $0.16 to $0.40 per bullet)
.475 Linebaugh = $0.37/bullet (Retail $47 to > $100 for 50 bullets => about $1 to $2 per bullet)
.338 Lapua Mag = $0.73/bullet (Retail $75 for 20 -> $3.75 per bullet)
So, it makes pretty good sense for me to reload (just the .475 alone has saved me the costs of most of my reloading equipment). The only thing where it probably doent make too much sense for me is the .40 S&W, but I enjoy reloading, so I even load those. I just recently got the Lapua, but as you can see, how can anyone afford to shoot it WITHOUT reloading?
