    Default Tax increase

    My property taxes just increased by about 8%. Did everyones taxes just go up or is it a Chaffee county thing?

    I got hit with a sizeable increase in Dougco.
    Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.

    On our retirement home in Huerfano County went from $719 to $743 and am happy to pay it. Our primary residence in Lakewood is not worth any more than the one down south and the taxes here are $3,300!!!!

    Property taxes are a local thing, just look at some of them.... fire districts, ambulance districts, water and sanitation districts, schools, etc.... Karl.
