Thread: Bullet pulling

    Default Bullet pulling

As a beginning reloader, I've wound up with a bunch of loaded ammo (that now resides in the crawl-space) that I don't plan to shoot.

Different loads that didn't work out, for whatever reason.

I've got one of those little "hammer" kinetic bullet pullers, but that's not right for this volume.

    What's a better way?

RCBS makes a "Bullet Pulling" die. I'm not sure how it works, But I do know they have it. Might be easier than the pounding method.

Hmmm, never seen the die. Probably just as well. Maybe a good project for a cold day. Karl.

You want to get a collet-style bullet pulling die. Works great.

Thanks, I'll give the Hornady version a try.

My wife is sick of hearing me pounding with the kinetic puller.

Yes, you want the Hornady collet-type bullet puller die. It's the slickest thing since sliced bread. You'll love it.
