Whats better ammo for self defence?

Now i know their are lots of rounds out their... and i always stock up on cheap FMJ ammo which is great at pokeing holes in targets. :lol:

Now i'm about to order some cheap wolf ammo for my AK-47 maybee round 5000 online.... but since i'm already ordering i'd like to buy some anti personel ammo just incase.. maybee 100+- rounds. Now i like wolf cause it's cheap, and they have HP and SP.... now i know SP is usually used for hunting but would it outperform HP against human targets?
Is their some more expensive 7.62x39 ammo youd recomend for defence purposes? Or do you think regular FMJ would get the job done just as well as any of the other rounds? And would HP and SP function as flawlessly in my ak as FMJ?

Most all Cor-Bon ammo makes great personal defense ammo.
