Taking a closer look at the top pic, I see the pilots arent wearing their helmuts and NVGs. Must have been taken in Kuwait or Qatar somewhere around sunrise. And the runway has lights...

The flying is tough. Nothing but nights for our crew so far and it looks like we are stuck on nights for a while longer. Good as you can see them shooting at you, but bad as you can SEE them shooting at you. I am betting I go this whole depolyment without seeing Iraq or Afghanistan in the daytime.

One month left.

Spent the past couple weeks in North Eastern Africa. Much better than Iraq and Afghanistan. But, alas the "vacation" had to end. I will try to post some pics from Africa.
