Second, I think that the whole "kaboom" thing has been blown way out of porportion, mainly by the people that don't like Glocks for some reason or another. Your chances of a major malfuction is just the same with another make or model as it is the the Glock .40. FWIW. If its a fairly recent make on the barrel, I wouldn't worry at all.

Personally I own a G20, and I have run some fairly stout handloads through it and, I've never had a problem.
