It was a hoot. Thanks for taking and posting pictures.
There were some BRUTALLY HARD stations. It just wasn't impossible shots, they were just tricky. In that first picture on the left, that's station 12 (the last station)
The first bird flew in from the left (from way out left, probably took 2 seconds to arrive in your field of vision after calling pull) and basically died into that big tree in front. You could see it for maybe 20 feet. and it's dying, so it was easy to shoot in front of it and over it.
Then, the 2nd bird would loop around through those trees showing you only it's black side in that mottled shady ground and then land about 20 feet in front of you. Most people got it maybe a foot or two off the ground. It wasn't hard, you just couldn't see it. and it was set to be that way.

The one with the tower was awesome. Two machines under your feet that you can't see, the one on the left throwing right and the one on the right throwing left. So they crossed right at the point you picked them up. People would aim one way and you could see the gun shake as they tried to decide which one to get. So, you finally decided just to concentrate on one and you could get that one, and you would swing back to get the other one which by that point is dying, so you shoot in front of it. arrrghhhh (I sucked at this station something awful)

Sporting clays is all about solving the optical illusion and Doug at Colorado Clays sets them REALLY hard. My score improves 10+ every time I go to a different range.

It was great fun.
oh, and Tom F shoots REALLY WELL. The bastard. :P Never shoots sporting clays before and beats my best score ever. Crap. :cry:
