    Default AR-15 parts

I'm looking for a good 4-Rail system for my Rock River Arms CAR-A4 16" barrel , Any ideas where to look! I think I would rather have a free floating forearm right? http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...-15cartoon.gif

What are you going to mount on it?

If it is going to be any kind of optics or sights then go with a LaRue.

Free Float - LaRue of Daniels Defense

Non-Free Float - MI or YHM

    In that order.

OK I'll bite, cause I'm about to do the same to my 20" AR... why not YMH for the free float? I'm looking at the rifle length light weight rail from those guys. LaRue would be nice, but a bit pricier that it should be in my mind... then again all of them are over priced in my mind.

There have been a couple of reports that the tube spun loose. There is a chance that it can happen especially if you use a forward vertical grip and you hit it against something because these handguards don't have the locking/indexing pin system like the Larue or Daniel Defense. The tube is only retained by the jam nut.

Wallary - Tango Down makes a good front vert grip. I'm pretty sure I've not seen anything bad about the GG&G models either. As for lights, the best advise I have is to figure out how much you want to spend and look at what Surefires or Streamlights are in your range, go from that.

XHairs.. thank you! I've been looking for a straight answer on the shroud twisting and such.

Anyone know anything about the Surefire FF rails? Does anyone have any experience with the YHM front gas block/flip up sight and gas block combo?
