Default Does anyone have opinions on the Heritage Arms Rough Rider SA?

My father-in-law is looking to buy a Heritage Arms Rough Rider SA .22lr/..22mag revolver. I have never even heard of this brand. Does anyone on the forum own one? Any thoughts on their quality? Thanks for your help.
Below is a link to the revolver from the manufacturer website.http://www.heritagemfg.com/site/department.cfm?id=50

My Grandfarther left me one. They are nice, for what they are. Mine has a super shinny bluing and it has a safty too, but it had some screws on the side plate and as i was cleaning it noticed they were very loose and I snugged them up and it locked the whole pistol up, they are only ment to be finger tight i guess. I had a ruger Singal six and it was IMO better, clean trigger break and felt more soild

so they are basically a cheap alternative to the Ruger single action .22. You said your grandfather left you one. Have they been around a while, or was it a more recent purchase?
    Thanks

I had one and I taught my kids to shoot with it. It was a pretty nice looking piece and would eat any cheap ammo I could find. The gun was light and it almost felt like it was made out of aluminum. Mine had both the 22LR and the 22 Magnum cyclinder. I think I paid arounf $200 new and I though it was worth every penny.

Sure thing, its funny because I knew he bought it a while back but never really saw any in the stores. Now I see them all over with the .22 win mag cylinder and .22lr cylinder

I have one that has lived in the tool box in my truck for many years. I paid $30 for it at a gun show a long time ago, and it has provided me and my friends/family many hours of tin-can blasting fun. Not a particularly refined weapon, but accuratele enough to plink with. They go for about $100 around town, but I wouldn't pay that much. You got it for nothing, so blaze away!

Great little gun for the money. If I remember right, Jax had a sale on them late last year for $115 ish.
