I was playing with some Remington .22LR subsonics in my 39A at the last shoot, and they're really quiet. Not so much out of a pistol - I couldn't tell the difference between the subs and regular CCI Blazer - but out of a rifle they sound like a pellet gun or a gas airsoft gun. Definitely shootable in the basement as far as noise goes.
