    Default Cherry Creek Today

Well, I called in sick today. (sick of work) I decided to go shooting at Cherry Creek Range for the first time.

$55.00 for Colorado Parks Pass (for the year)
$3.00 for Aurora Res Water Pass (for the year)
$13.00 for Range Pass (for the day)

$71 dollars later, I was shooting my AR 10minutes from my house.

Nice range and friendly staff. I will be back.

    Nope.. $13.00.. really.. not kidding...

But it was a nice range and I didn't have to drive 1.5 hrs to the mnts.

Got my red dot zero'ed in nice too.. Finally know what if feels like to hit dead center at 100 yards.

i have to agree i go there all the time for trap shooting, but $13 is high just to use the rifle/pistol range...

The Firing Line is $10 and I think $3 is fair to be able to shoot rifles too.

Not to mention better ventilation and what I hope is far less jacket ricochets.

I'm a member at the firing line too.. The price of $13 for Cherry Creek is fair in my option, but if I didn't have a park pass, the cost would be $7.00 to get into the park + $13 for the range. THAT is toooo much!!

Well CC has gone down hill since the last operator was booted out a few years ago. The current operators have not... NOT significantly improved the site at all in the last year and a half. The range is fairly safe (especially when compared to FL's range) but, the lack of improvements and the constantly increasing range fees really detract from the experience in my mind.

Just my humble opinion.. OK not so humble

I wouldn't have a problem with the amount they charge if you could get a free pass into the park. The extra fee makes it WAY too much.

I asked the range owner about options and they suggested that I park outside the park and walk into the range. :-x
