I keep forgetting to stop by and look the place over, just to see how gucci it turned out. Everytime one of these threads is updated, it occurs to me.

Maybe could get a couple folks together and pretend to be a family? There are lots of modern explanations for mismatched surnames.

WPGC is a great place to go on the nasty days like we have had this month. If you stop in I'm sure one of the staff will give you a tour. you can also check out the website at

Whistling Pines - Wow - wish they had built that place here in Denver. That is one sweet facility.

First off, I don't know these guys or have any relationship with them. But I think their rates are very reasonable for what you get. It's anything but a Manhattan cigar club. If you want to sample that sort of elite BS, you might try the Scottsdale Gun Club.

I'm going to guess they spent well over $2mil to get up and going. He11, they probably have $500K into the backstops alone. Then there's the air filtration, insurance, property taxes, yada, yada. That's gonna take a lot of membership dues and counter sales to break even.

Look at it this way. What's a gym membership run these days?

After you get past their one time fee, a family of four shooters costs $50/month ($600/year). That's 2.5 cases of .223 ammo for a year's membership. I blow through way more than that in one three day MG shoot - not including my shooter's fee and hotel.

There's no additional lane fees. They let you suspend your membership during times where you're on vacation or on overseas deployment. And it's transferable for a small fee. Not too bad when you think about it.

They must be doing something right if they have 1000 members already.

Couldnt agree with you more Muzzleflash. The ability to shoot indoors during a winter like this one alone is worth the price of admission.

I joined last month. I was on the fence about an indoor range, but I,m glad I joined. A buddy of mine and I went out a week or so ago and shot out there for the first time. I took my F/A M-16 to zero a red dot sight and try out the new ARestor hydrolic buffer (which I HIGHLY recommend). No problem with F/A shooting, but I did keep it to 4-8 rd. bursts. As soon as they get thier tactical side up and running, I'll be there alot more. Night vision goggle night, anyone? Ryan

Besides being NFA friendly, they dont mind of you draw from the holster or "Shoot Fast."

And they have a top notch staff....

    Default Great club and rangw

If you can afford the membership fee, I think there's ONE membership left (trade from someone leaving town). Great facilities, decent prices, almost always a lane open when you want it.

    Default Great place to shoot

I have been a member for the past five months.
Being able to shoot three to four days a week is great.
Bulleye or practice some fast stuff no problem.
Getting out of the weather and having a great target set up is well worth the price of admission.
Price of ammo and rental guns is great.
