My brother went to junior high and high school with Steve and Jessie (the lead singer/guitarist and the drummer).
Most of you have probably never heard of the band Gooding, but you've heard his music in some TV and Movies. Somewhere I have a copy of the first tape Steve put out at 15 ... was all instrumental stuff but basically on par with guys like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson.
first two were originals ... here's a pretty awesome cover of Queen & David Bowie's "Under Pressure" from the same show
He also does an educational program/tour thing on financial education.
