Because different countries allow different configuarations of weapons, as well as a ban on imported firearms....your probably going to be denied access or the firearm confiscated. Firearm parts are not banned from importation. (read between the lines here) Of course written permission from the State Department would allow it. Glocks sold here are actually made here...or at least assembled here after the ban. Your Glock was probably made in Austria. Have you considered just getting a different one once you move here?

To have a CCW here....no, there is no provision for being a citizen or resident....State or Federal Government issued ID though

Ummm, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm 99% that you DO have to be a resident for a Colorado CCW. :?: That's why the Florida and Utah permits are such a big deal. They are the ONLY two states that allow non-resident permits. But again, I'm only 99% on that. Anyway, he would be a resident. As for the citizen thing, nope, you can buy and own if you're legal here and a "resident-alien". I think you may need permission from your consulate, but not sure about that anymore. Karl.
