Commanders are cool

So, having got totally sucked into the 1911 scene and really digging on them, about a month ago I picked up a Ted Yost modded Colt Commander

Wow, what a great gun. Ted Yost might be overpriced, but the man knows how to smith.

Anyway, the wife then borrows it and says "i want one" ops:
uhhhh, honey, I'll see what I can do
found another Colt Commander (not smithed) and she's digging on that. That little 3/4 of an inch off the end really makes it so much better balanced. I still dig my full size, but the commander size just seems about perfect.

I have a early/mid 70's LW Colt Commander and except for it being a bit touchy about what I feed it, it has been fun to own.
