Default OK let me try again.....

is there any place within a reasonable distance (1-2 hours or less) of littleton CO where I can take the family out shooting, and hopefully fishing in the same day? (somewhere in the forest) For those afraid to share this information I understand, it kills me to see places like left hand where folks bring out tons of garbage and last time I went by (not shooting but 4wheeling) even appliances for gawd sakes, and fail to remove it. However the only places I know of are nearly 3 hours on road and 2 hours of serious trail and is not practical even for just a 1 day camping trip. Anyway if anyone can give me a hand PM me. I have a very capable 4WD and absolutely pack out anything I bring in. Thanks.

The south site would be about that from Littleton. Heck, I make it down there in about 2.5 from Westminster. That's not even going breakneck speeds.

As far a the fishing goes, A whole stretch of the south platte.

thanks, yea I just realized someone posted the map on my last post with the south site. Gonna have to check that out. Heck I wanted to do the whole clean up thing, however they are doing it on Saturday which is bad for me.

PS. Great quote, definitely in my top 10 all time favorite movies.

The Buffalo Creek Gun Club is within the distance you mentioned and you could fish the Platte or Wellington Lake (if it opens again).

Information on the Buffalo Creek Gun Club can be found at:

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck had gloves and a chainsaw?

If the areas are the same ones I'm thinking your talking about, they are right off the side of the road and are basically pistol only size (max 25 yds, if that).
