They will price match anyone - including internet ads (Gander Mountain will do the same).
Gander Mountain will not match prices with any location over an hours driving distance AND it would appear that the managers have discression on what they will and will not match. Case in point; Gm in Aurora and I was looking at some Burris XTR rings, GM carries them at $66 or $68. Knowing I could get a better deal I pinged Jensen Arms, $39.99. Asked the manager to price match "sure what store has em cheaper?", Jensen says I. Nope sorry won't do it. Uhhh they're well with in an hours drive. Nope sorry I won't match Jensen.

Needsless to say I won't be back to Gander mountain.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's strange and you might be right about manager's discretion. Donald is the fishing department manager there and he will price match - just show him the ad. He's even given me the Cabela's price on an item. I know Andy who also works in the fishing department will help you get the better price.

Never tried it in the gun department. Very strange.

What we all could really use is an Academy Sports like what's down in the South.
Weekly gun and ammo specials that beat SW, GM and everyone else.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I know this is an old post but I just had to bring it back from the grave.
I took a little trip over to Bass Pro the other evening and I am not impressed. As a matter of fact, I will never do business with them again.

There are plenty of "workers" walking around and standing behind counters but not one of them would openly assist someone like myself. What does that mean, you ask? Look, I'm heavily tattooed and I really never had an issue with people profiling me like I was at Bass Pro. Maybe I should have flashed someone my camo underwear! Then again, maybe that's not the type of service I'd want...

Never again my friends. Never again.
