Default Bad kids and puter problems.

The day after the last shoot in Woodland Park, that I attended, my kid did something to our puter and had to do a restore that lost most of my stuff. I was in the process of finding all my bookmarks (including here) and stumbled acrossed online sweepstakes (won alot of good things) and got sidetracked. Anyway I bought a new puter and got back to here. Firstly 5 months late, I had a great time, so did my brother, the cop, and his wife. We left early because she got cold, but had fun. He's got a ar-15 type gun on order with a three round burst so whenever he get's that, I'm going to make him bring it to a shoot. I finally got permission to get a new gun, so I'm looking for something fun. Do you remember Karl, I mentioned she was from a liberal family? See they can be changed with time. lol

Anyone know of anyplace besides gunbroker.com to find a fullauto for less then $1000? A guy on there was selling glock17's FA, but haven't seen him selling in awhile. Otherwise I'm just going to buy a rifle, before she changes her mind. [roll]

I'm just starting to think full auto and haven't seen anything that cheap.
    I've been looking at subguns.com and sturmgewehr.com.
At present I'm not sure what I might buy and I'm very curious about the wide range of prices for FA guns. I'd sure like to know what drives the price differences; is it quality, supply/demand, collector value, perceived value?
I'd like to get some info from the experienced class 3 guys here what to look for/avoid etc.

As far as what drives the prices it's everything you mentioned. First step is to decide on what it is you want then ask about what to look for and what to avoid. With M16's for instance there are some conversions done by people in their garage and they are terrible. The plus side is it really don't matter people like John Norrell can repair anything you could cut a reciever in half on a band saw and he could repair it. When you got it back you would never even know.

My advice for those of you in the Denver area is to figure out what it is you want. Contact Alan and he will find what you need and he also knows what to look for and avoid. If he doesnt know about a particular gun he will find out. Scott who is on the Machine gun tours team is also very sharp he is Alans right hand man. My M16 went down at one of the shoots this was when I first got it and was still learning Scott had it running in no time.

C3 is an investment but as with anything there is always a risk. It only takes the stroke of a pen from a congress critter to take them all away. Gun control has been to our favor in the last several years I think it's up to 39 states are shall issue the assault weapons ban died ect. The problem is all it takes is for one major event like 911 to change all that.

Ummm, no such animal any more. Any FA gun you find under $1K is most likely ILLEGAL! Including those converted Glocks or the part to do that conversion. The cheaper FA guns out there go for at least $3K anymore. Karl.

Thanks Karl. That's good to know. I was under the assumption that since he was selling it on condition of all the needed paperwork being done first, tax stamp etc, and shipping it only to a classIII dealer, it was a legal gun. His were $800, then of coarse the $200, and whatever the charge would be from Dragonman (if he even will do it). Therfore $1000. I would much rather have the $5000 Uzi with the barrels for .22 9mm and .45's. But I have to go babysteps.

atm an 800$ FA gun is a dream....

The chepest on the market right now is the mac10/11

    They go from 3000(used)-3500(new)

FA guns are the basically the most precious metal in america right now... an m60 can go for 50k+

The reason they are so expensive is because the ATF banned the further manufacturing of Fully auto wepaons in US. This means that any gun you can get that is auto was made in 1986... or at least the full auto part was... This means that people are working with a very limited amount... over time they break, and become irreparable, and the more time passes the more expensive they get.... soon i bet the mac10/11 will be going for 5000 and the usi for 8-9k

Unless the bann gets lifted... if that happens i'm taking a loan and stocking up on every full auto i've ever dreamed of... cause it surley wont last. As said all it takes is one event...

Of cource their are ways to get fully auto guns for 200-500$ anything you want really but it comes with an awfully heavy price tag of 20 years in fort levenworth if your caught....

I dunno if the chance of 20 years is worth it to you for the couple thousand saved, but it sure as hell isnt for me... so i'm gonna save up and buy a legal one some day...

Oh no. I have no intention of buying one that's not legal. I will never own one if it's not legal. Karl will never have to hunt me down. I just know the guy in AZ was selling glock's that were converted for FA at gunbroker.com for $800. He was also charging $400 to convert your own Glock. There is also 1 beretta pre 86 FA hand gun being sold on gunbroker for 1,495. I just figured they must be legal or they wouldn't sell them on such a public website. They stated they had to have the money, and the proper forms before they would ship, and they would only ship to class III dealers. That all seemed legit to me.

I haven't seen the glock being sold in a few months, due to my puter problems.

I just looked closer and here's a sear for glocks. 200 for the sear, 200 for the tax stamp, and whatever the glock would cost. Since I know little about this stuff (that's why I'm here, to learn) it would seem to me it's legal to buy this, and convert a glock for under $1000.
