Anybody got any opinions on the sig mosquito? I heard good and bad things about them. I am thinking of getting one in a couple months. I already have a ruger bull barrel but want a change.

My sister bought a pink one for her first gun, It was OK I guess, Thing would jam up once in a while. For the price I would rather get a buckmark or Ruger honestly
I like it. The DA trigger pull is pretty bad, but if you use the recommended ammo, it functions 100%.

I bought one of these last year and it's a fun plinking gun. I got the digital cammo version and, yes, it likes the recommended ammo and will stovepipe on others. Like Tim said, the trigger pull is pretty crappy but it's not too bad as it as a pretty wide trigger on it so you don't feel it as much as you would a smaller trigger.

Okay so I am curious… what is the recommended 22 ammo for this gun? Other that, has anybody else had issues or think highly of a differnt 22? Like I said I have a Ruger bull barrel MKII, I love the gun but want a 22 that is smaller and can be put in a backpack for Grouse when I am archery hunting. I have also herad about Walter PPK's.
Thanks!

I've owned both the Mosquito & the P22. The Sig feels great in the hand, but I found it extremely frustrating as I could not get through a mag without some kind of failure when using anything but the CCI ammo. I have no use for a gun that likes only one type of ammo. Sold it & never looked back. My P22 on the other hand eats it all up; even the Remington subsonic cycles it. And it is lighter than the Sig. I gave a box of the subsonic to a friend after he picked up a P22 and he had the same result....box of 50 without a failure of any type.
Just my 2 cents, but I would most definitely go with the Walther.
I just picked up a Sig Mosquito. I have tried Winchester expert and Wildcat in it with horrible results. Then I shot the recommended Mini Mag and it worked well. Recently I tried the Federal bulk stuff and it seemed to work well in my pistol. I still get the occasional stove pipe but it is tolerable.
