    I've got a 43oz 6.5" bbl Ruger New Model Blackhawk 357 / 9mm.

Don't care for it much. The grip feels weird. It's barrel-heavy.

The loading-gate / hand ejector is a hassle.

The Model 67 just seems "right", somehow.

    Nice looking 38.

The feel of the gun is important. If it feels good you'll want to shoot it more. The more you shoot the better you will be with it should you ever need it in a desperate time.

Practice counts for more than raw stopping power.

67s are fine. But, you cant shoot 357 in them. A 686 can shoot both... I will take a 686 anyday, unless we are talking a PPC gun.

I guess the 686P weighs less because there are more holes in the cylinder.

Model 686 is actually $10 less than the Model 67.

I bet they make ten 686s for every 67.

I bought the little Model 67.

I ordered everything to load 38 Special, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Anybody seen inexpensive 38 Special plinking ammo anywhere?
