Hoping against all hope that I'll be offered a membership this year. It isn't looking too likely though as it looks like the wait list is 3-4 years now. Maybe I got my app in before the bulk of apps went in; it's been more than a year, but not 3-4.

So is that fun shoot ran at the one labeled "Falcon Range"? How many people do you get to show for it?

Whoops just realized previous post was dated 2011, question still applies however.

I just put myself on the WL.

The Hanover Range is the only established range that I can find in CO that allows night shooting.

I'm tired of doing my night shooting in questionable places, and want to come out from the cold and go legit.

The CMP is an informal 50 round shoot. Sighting time from 8-9 then the standard 10/10/10/20. 5-10 people is the norm. Run mostly like a CMP but they start from position. You keep your own score and no one seems to compare.

yas at the falcon range, about 10 minute south of falcon.

If never shot at night, what is the draw? What type of shooting are you doing? Using tac lights or NV?

im a member so might be willing to take you if it sounds interesting and you don't mind a tag along.

To be blunt, the advantage of night shooting is this... think about any situation where you might need a gun. Is it day or night? Are you in a dark parking lot? Is it in the middle of the night in your house? Is it a bright sun shiny day? Things are different when you can't see. Manipulating a light and a gun takes practice. Clearing a malfunction in the dark takes practice. Just knowing what a muzzle flash in pitch black looks like is good to know. Not to mention knowing what the output of you wml looks like at any sort of distance. I'm not saying it's the end all of shooting, but there are some valuable lessons to be learned.

exactly. That's why I'm wanting To join, and would likely only ever shoot there at night. He'll, I could go for a limited "night only" membership!

Well, my membership just expired, so there should be at least 1 new spot open for you guys! Enjoy the range for me.

    Yahoo!

Thanks to HoneyBadger not renewing his membership, I got my letter of acceptance yesterday. It'll be in the mail with initial payment and proof of NRA membership on Monday.
