    Default 50 Cal friendly ranges

I was wondering if any of you knew some 50 friendly ranges around Denver? Just about every range I look into says no way.

Check out WWW.RMFCSA.ORG. We shoot down in Raton and other places. I know that you can shoot .50 bmg at Dragon Arms in Co. Springs, but it is only 200 yards. I have a Barrett M-99 and I can tell you that you are going to have to some driving to be able to shoot it at any real distance. Ryan

I was afraid of that. I guess I will have to give pawnee a go. Will probably make it a Memorial day retreat.

We used to go up to Buffalo Creek when I was a kid but even they don't allow 50's. Kind of crazy I thought...But I digress.

    Thanks for the info guys.

i think pueblo west will allow them but not sure

and im pretty sure you can shoot them at royal gorge, there is nothing saying you cant shoot them in the membership papers, the nice thing about royal gorge is you can go out to 1k yards

both of those are a good ways from denver though

there is a range that goes out to at least 1,000 yds near Byers (?)

nice place, I checked it out, but it's a good drive from denver.. escpecially when weather conditions can be different (who wants to drive all the way out there and not be able to shoot?)

Well I went up to pawnee the other weekend. Which was about an hour and a half drive but I got to shoot which was fun. I did find Ben Lomond club goes out to 1000yrds and allows 50's.

    Ben Lomond Gun Club

So now I need to go about joining.

I know it is a very late post on this but buffalo creek used to allow 50's

The problem was that with a 50 600 yards is a joke. A couple of people decided that shooting at the rocks and formations WAY outside the range would be more of a challenge. When there is a state trail that runs around the range...... Now you know why.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.
