Here you go Hurley-try not to drool in your coffee

I have a couple Ontario RAT knives and a tak II. Do you think ESSEE are better quality than the original RAT knives?

This is the one I carry the most for camping, fishing, hunting, pretty much anywhere out side the city. Ontario TAK, holds a good edge, takes a beating. I like the WERE knives and plan on getting more than I should.

Ontario knives are good and so is the Tak II. The difference with the ESEE knives is the heat treatment by Rowan that has really improved the quality, plus the sheaths that come with them. This was the main reason for the split between Jeff Randall and Ontario. JMHO

I noticed the sheath quality for sure. I want to pick up an ESEE 6 with the clip point sharpened back edgeand the coyote sheath and OD molle backer and pouch, An ESEE 4 in desert tan and an Izula in OD.

The six for a fighter, the 4 for outdoor carry and the izula for EDC.
