    Default 22/45 or MKIII Hunter?

Just wondering if we could discuss the differences in these 2 pistols. I have had MkIIs for years, am looking to purchase a Hunter soon. So..... 22/45 or all stainless?

Certainly the biggest difference between the Mk III and the 22/45 is the grip angle. If I had to choose between these, I would undoubtedly lean towards the 22/45 for no other reason than I already shoot a 1911 in competition and having the same grip angle will reinforce muscle memory.

Nonetheless, either one of these models is a wonderful choice and will serve you well.

    Edited to add: Red dot

I've 2's and 3's. Hands down I'd lean ya toward an older 2 if ones to be found. never had an issue with one.

I just bought a 3 in 22/45. It has has some "issues" that I'm not happy with at all. I can't say if its due to the changes such as removed magazine safety (for lack of a better term) or possible other changes in the 22/45 model. I keep getting the random FTF. Same ammo will shoot all day out of my Buckmark. Also the trigger doesn't reset at times.

I figure Ruger will stand behind it, but hate mailing my stuff around. PITA.

    HTH's.

I've got both pistols, and love them both. I prefer the Hunter.
