Sounds like my wife would move here in a heart beat. I travel for work anyway, but it wouldn't work out from here.

This afternoon I took a walk up the Brainard Lake road looking for birds and moose. It's about 2.5 miles along the closed road from the parking lot to the lake. The road has a thin packed cover of snow so I might take my mountain bike up it again before the next snow. Some folks I met reported seeing two and four moose but I wasn't so lucky today. Birds were scarce too, a few corvids, woodpeckers and chickadees. With binoculars I scanned for elk on the open slopes of Audubon and Niwot ridge. Many times I've seen ptarmigan in the willow carrs along the road. I'll try for them on cross country skis when we get a little fresh tracking snow. Cell phone pic from later this afternoon:

2 year free maintenance for toyota isn't the best, but sure beats some other manufacturer. I think Hyundai has 3y/36k and Honda has 1y.

Mercedes benz westminster might be an isolated incident. I addressed a crappy services documented on text message from service adviser , and I still have not yet to get a response from management.
MB of Littleton was the same way. McDonald Hyundai was awesome.

Sil tahr ford was pretty good when the wife had her pony. They ate the cost of a spyder gear replacement after warranty after I bounced off the curb sliding down a hill on pure ice.

I finally got caught up with this thread. Life has been busy for us. Got a house in Puyallup under contract. Was hoping for trees and a fishable creek on about 10 acres, but inventory for something like that near a tech job on my budget isn’t happening. .86 acres of suburbia will have to do for now.

Moved up here to spend more time with my folks. That hasn’t worked out since we’re living with my sister and my brother in law is an ER doc. Looking forward to having our own space again.

We bought a car from MB of Littieton this June. Funny that many MB dealership sales dept are okay, but their service dept are horrible.
Right before we were about to buy a car, I drop by their (MB littleton) service for maintenance schedule. At least they were nice enough to print out and gave me tips for doing DIY services.

I will give MBWesterminster service an another try when there is a recall.

There are handful of dealerships I would probably avoid. I use to be in auto sales industry during 90s (while going to school) ,and some of asshole dealership have same old people working still after 25 years later.

We had a couple come to the house for some smoked ribs goodness a few days ago and they saw a momma and baby Moose down the road from our house. It was the first time they saw a Moose and were totally amazed. When we told them we see them about every week in the back yard I could tell they were skeptical. A few videos later and they were even more amazed.

    I love it up here.

Trying to get an occasional bird photo out here for Hummer.

Went to Olivine Pools today. Warning signs and memorials all over for people who have died. A wave caught us by surprise and put the fear of God (Titan) into us and we boogied out of there. Ultimately nothing happened, and I found a YouTube video of people encountering a similar wave in the exact same spot and just laughing it off. We started looking into it and it kind of put a downer on the rest of the day for us. 19 people died in this spot just last year.

You get a chance to try any of those malasadas, yet? Or some bbq's spam, linguisa, or try some of their hawaiian sweet bread.
