None, actually. Just wanted to see if someone would freak out about it being "bad luck".

We stumbled into the bad luck to bring back lava rocks TikToks a few months ago. Hilarious. One says there are warehouses full of lava rock that was sent back after bad things happened to people that took them.

The lava rock sure has cut the heel out of my feet trying to snorkel on the rocky shore, that's been a bummer.

Today we did a snuba/snorkel trip. That was pretty fun, but we saw some whales, and now it's too late to cancel the whale watching trip in a few days. I think we're going to rent a fishing pole and try some fishing, even though none of us knows what we're doing when it comes to fishing.

Synopsis of the trip. You're wearing mask, even in the water. AND... trying to snag a whale, with a fishing pole. That's the kind of vacation i can support. What kind of bait for the whales?

We got a notice/friendly reminder/ violation today, continuing our unbroken record of being talked to every day.

You rebel, you. How you and the family like the nanny state, so far.

If someone else paid for the flight and accommodations, I still wouldn't have interest in visiting any of those islands.

We did the same because of the cost of restaurant meals. We found the grocery delis had a great selection of foods, especially poke and sushi. Poke, bread and wine became daily and luxurious meals. And much cheaper than restaurants.

when the spouse was there, last year. She said it was an average of $50-1000 per, in tourist trap restaurants. Thye did the local eateries and off the tourist area places, when possible. Luckily for us, the neighbor is from Oahu who gave her a few suggestions for food.

I opted to stay home, 8 hrs 1 way , non-stop, is 6 hrs too long on a plane.
