Changed oil and lubed the John Deere today, a lengthy process made worse by the paper wasps that nest in the loader bucket arms through various drain holes. Nasty buggers, I used most of a can of wasp spray on them. I manage to get stung two or three times a year but they didn't get me today, yet.
Yesterday, I drove I-70 across the state and squeezed through less than 5 minutes before they closed the road through Glenwood Canyon. It was closed on the possibility of flash flooding in the areas denuded of vegetation by the fire last year. It's still closed and may be indefinitely if there's any chance of rain. It looks likely Glenwood Canyon will still be closed when I head east next week. The alternate route is north through Craig, Steamboat Springs, Kremmling and back to I-70 at Silverthorne, a 4.5 hour detour! I think we'll be dealing with Glenwood Canyon road closures for the next several years.
