Turned on my TV and it is the World Series. Not the night of the living dead.

I will try and change the channel.

I got more bored, and burned the trailer more

And to the person that asked (I'm a bit too buzzed to go hunting), it is for aesthetics, and a bit of preventing rot. I'm not going to disassemble this thing until the deck fails, so just a top burn should last for a few years until it's time.
Added some Thompsons, which made it look DARK for now, but I like.

Rinse gently, dry, and give it 4 light coats of polyurethane with a 1/4" knap roller. Repeat every year for a classic finish. Been thinking about doing it to my trailer but the frame is crying for paint first.

This one sat outside too long before I got to it. When the deck gets bad enough, it shall undergo major surgery. The deck will come off, paint be stripped, the axles and electrics pulled, and the whole thing powdercoated. Then the deck will be replaced with properly treated wood and wired appropriately (because I HATE faulty trailer wiring).

I also have started plans for a gate assist (wife can't lift the gate by herself), but want to keep the gate where it is still removable and will lay flat when necessary

My efforts to surprise the kid were indeed effective for the desired result.

I'm glad I took the time to do it. Wife and I are really happy to see him.
