Holy cow- a new baby and a new house, all in the same month! Hopefully you've got a line of friends with trucks, willing to lend a hand in the move?

I've got probably about 10 people from work, a few friends who are local, and maybe 2 or 3 from the forum who have offered to help so far.
Shameless solicitation: If you are free on Saturday the 16th and want to help out a fellow gun-owner and liberty-lover move 10 minutes up the road in Colorado Springs, shoot me a PM! Mrs HoneyBadger will provide lunch of some sort if she is able (she'll be at about 38 weeks on March 16th!).

You may want to start a thread, asking for assistance. In my experiences of moving, over half the people that volunteer to help never show. That would also be the time to put if you need moving boxes, moving vehicles and so on. Mrs. HB should be relegated to supervision of where things are put in the new house, instead of worrying about rustling lunch. Does she have any help during this move? (I don't mean to be bossy- I've experienced a number of household moves, and learned from each one.)
I expect everyone from work who offered help to follow through: military folks tend to understand that moving can be a b*tch and are very good about keeping their word. It's going to be a super-easy move. We're going about 10 minutes up the road. Everything will already be boxed up and ready to go, and I will have already moved quite a bit of it by myself. The biggest thing we'll need help with is the heavy furniture like our bedroom set, the treadmill, refrigerator, etc. I have a 16 ft long enclosed trailer.... so that will help a lot.
ETA: this is my 4th move in 3 years. Two of the moves were from CO to CA and back to CO. The last one was a year ago out of a crappy apartment. This one is (hopefully) to stop renting forever!

Good deal.I hadn't realized you work with military folks. That's awesome that you'll have your own home, especially with a new baby on the way. When we moved into our home, all we could think of was, "What took us so long?"
Let me see what our schedules look like; we may be able to offer assistance.
And I have to keep telling Mrs HoneyBadger to sit back and relax because she wants to do everything still. She's already packed up a bunch of boxes and our garage is about half full of stuff that is ready to go. Don't kid yourself though... she is still incredibly spry: she still runs about 30 miles a week... which is more than me or any other sane person! lol
