Mandatory training = Insider Threat Briefings, Sexual Harrasssment training, equal opportunity training..

Mandatory Fun = the boss: "Everyong go change... We're playing football in ten minutes."

Me: "Sir, I've got about 8 big tasks due today."
the boss: "go... EFFIING.. Change...... WEEEEEEEEEE (insert big arm motion here of him including all of the shop) are going to play football.... in 6 minutes."
the boss, after seeing me going back to the office after football: "wth are you doing?"
me: "going back to get my work done"
the boss: "no, go home."
me: "Yes, Sir. I'm just going to get my computer so I can get this stuff done tonight then."
the boss: "you are effing retarded."
me: "Sir, it needs to get done. I can do a lot of things, but I can't miracle up the In-Progress Review."
the boss: "you're still retarded."
me: (blankly staring at my boss)
the boss: "fine, go get your computer."

Gotcha. I always sarcastically called the sexual harassment training and all that good stuff mandatory "fun". Your boss sounds like mine, except that mine would expect me to stay late to finish it after our mandatory fun.
