Your eating too much human flesh. Go back to something that tenderizes quicker and get back to whoring!

Jim/HB/OBC, what are the storage units sitting on?

I'm basically on clay. I'm thinking I'm going to scrape off a nice and level spot, then tamp it down really hard with my spud bar, then just lay down some large pavers to make a pad. I could also use gravel, but I'd have to come up with some kind of edging so the gravel doesn't spill into the yard. I want the base to be just above ground level so my wife can easily get the mower in and out if she has to mow.

Use some patio blocks for a base.

Thx. Do I need a base layer underneath them? Or just right on top of the clay is good?

Patio blocks or pavers will work fine.

Sand underneath will help with drainage and prevent too much settling

Okay I can put some sand down. Back in the midwest I'd have to put down a couple inches of gravel under the sand. Here not so sure...
