Pistol out to 600? Sounds like fun!

Me: hey what's your call sign?

BN S3: I have no idea.

    Me: Aren't you a Battalion S3?

BN S3: Yeah, but I guess we aren't high speed enough to have call signs.

    Me: .......

    I'll do you one better.

Me: Hey commo guy (on a base in Afghanistan), I need you to do XYZ.

Commo Guy: I can't. We're in the middle of an exercise to assess our readiness to perform our mission in a combat zone.

Me: ..... So you can't help me right now... in a combat zone... because you're conducting an exercise to assess our readiness to perform our mission in a combat zone?

    Commo Guy: Yes Sir.

    Me: You fail bro.

That was the second most frustrating conversation I've ever had with a soldier.

You definitely win. When I read that it reminded me of that cyanide and happiness cartoon where the dad says to his unruly kid, "Don't make me go get my belt." to which he goes and gets a WWF-style belt and then body slams and elbow drops his own kid.
