Ridge, how can you be upset with a cupcake in front of you?
Ridge, how can you be upset with a cupcake in front of you?
We don't have squirrels here. But the birds have already picked one of our apple trees clean, but the other one has been left untouched and those apples are close to the size of grapefruits. Last year, we lost most of our harvest due to aphids (our first year in the home and we didn't spray the trees with anything). This year, we sprayed but it didn't last long and seemed like I had to spray every week, but I only did about every 3-4wks. We'll see. At least the peach tree this year isn't showing signs of aphids, so thats good.
I want cherry trees... A dog... And maybe bees

We've got 2 apple trees, one large peach tree (more like a bush though, its 10ft wide and 8-9ft tall) and one 25ft tall nectarine tree, that for some reason, isn't producing any fruit this year.
I think with cherry trees you need two of them, otherwise they can't cross-pollinate and produce fruit. We are interested in getting one, but there are quite a few cherry orchards not 10min up the hill and they produce EXCELLENT bing and rainier cherries. A brown paper lunch bag FULL of cherries (pick them yourself style) is only $6.
G'night Ridge!
